A word from Mr Broom

We're coming towards the end of a long first half term and the children and staff have worked so hard to get off to a flying start. I'm proud of them all. I'd like to say a big thank you to those of you who completed a staff shout-out this term. It really does make a different when we share them with everyone; a reminder why we do what we do.

I welcomed Mr Sibley in school this morning for a meeting to discuss our targets for the coming year. He continues to be impressed with the improvements we are making. 'I love coming here. There's a real buzz to the place', was just one of his complementary comments. I also welcomed Lisa Boulmer, our new Trust Governor. Lisa took the time to meet everyone just before lunch and is looking forward to working with us in the coming months.

Next week is the final week of the half term. I'm really looking forward to the Harvest Festival with our Y3/4 children. The practices sound phenomenal and you're in for a real treat if your coming to see your children.

Have a lovely weekend.

Parent Consultations - 11th/12th November

It's been on our 'dates for your diary' section but I'd like to draw your attention to our parent consultation evenings, scheduled for 11th/12th November. Please take the time to meet with your child's class teacher and discuss their progress.

Football Team Achieves Well

Mr Wooffindin's football team narrowly missed out on the inter-school cup final on Thursday, when they competed against the local schools. The team got off to a flying start, beating Barkston Ash 1-0 and then South Milford 4-0. A draw against Saxton followed by defeat to Kirk Fenton meant they failed to qualify. However, what was most impressive was their attitude towards their opponents and each other. I was very proud.

Data Collection Sheets

A polite reminder to return your data collection sheets and thank you to the 162 we've already had back. Please can you return them as soon as possible if you have yet to do so.
