WICOR Wednesday
McAlester High School Volume 1.1
What is WICOR Wednesday?
AVID Site Team Meeting
This Week's Topic: Reflection Grid
One of the most important parts of learning that is often overlooked is the use of reflection time in our classroom. There are many ways you can encourage students to reflect on their learning, such as a Learning Log, Exit Ticket, etc, but one method we encourage you to try this year is the Reflection Grid. Some teachers use this strategy as a “post-it note exit ticket”, but it would also be a great tool to use with students after an assessment or quiz. Don't forget the reflection process. . . it is a critical element of student success!
So. . . . Tell me more! How do I use it in my classroom?
Materials Needed: Reflection Grid (see image below)
You could have the image enlarged to a poster (did you know they can do that at Staples pretty inexpensively?). You could also project the image on your board for students to write in their notebook, print it on the back of your paper assessment, or create a Google Form for students to complete online. If you would like help doing that please let us know! The possibilities are endless!
