Gregory Gardens Weekly Bulletin
Week of October 27, 2019
Greetings from Administration
Last week, we celebrated Red Ribbon Week. I loved the positive conversations about ways to keep our bodies and minds healthy. It was also a blast to dress up with students...we all take spirit days very seriously. Thank you parents for helping your kids get ready. We ended the week with our oh so anticipated Gatorween...WOW what a blast! it was wonderful to see so many GGES and RSP families out enjoying games, snacks and lots of dancing!
What's Happening Around School
GGES/RSP Community
We are creating an inclusive and respectful climate on our campus. We support all types of learners from diverse backgrounds on our site. It is imperative that parents, students and staff conduct themselves in a tolerant and respectful manner at all times. Please be aware of your surroundings when talking to members of our GGES/RSP community and be mindful that all students regardless of race, religion, abilities (e.g. physical, social/emotional development, cognition), socio-economic status, language, gender identity, race or family structure are welcome and important members to our school family.
Halloween 2019
Students may wear costumes to school on Thursday 10/31. Students must wear school appropriate shoes. Please no accessories that need to be carried (wands, swords, light sabers), masks, toy weapons or excessively scary costumes.

Student Attendance
Attendance is a school and district focus. We are continuing to track attendance to assist our community focus on attendance. Starting with October we will be recognizing a class with the best reduction in Tardiness with a popcorn party and a ten minute extra Friday recess. Our first celebration will be on Friday, November 1st. Please continue to communicate to your students the importance of their attendance and arriving on time!

What's Happening around Preschool
Our Autism classes have been working on ABA patterns and social skills. Last week I joined classes in as they enjoyed music in room 28! It was great fun to sing Halloween songs and bond with students. Our DHH students continue to work on counting, number and letter recognition and acting out familiar stories. Preschoolers and 5th graders continue to build relationships and have fun together on the playground. Recently our PTA funded supplies, toys and building materials for our new STEAM Lab, as soon as it is ready all students will be able to enjoy the space.
Halloween 2019
Preschoolers will have two parades this year. 9:50a and 1:00p, both in the bus circle. Immediately following the parade students will trick or treat in various areas around campus. Bring your costumes and your smiles, it's going to be a great day.
