National School Choice

Public School Choice was celebrated during the month January in our school library! Enjoy and click on the Flipgrid videos of why Henry Ford Elementary is the best public school choice for our students.

Family Literacy Night

January and February Family Literacy Night was a full success! Parents and students were able to enjoy reading to each other as well as AR Test.

World Read Aloud Day

On February 1, 2018 students were all read aloud by their teachers. The library provided two books ranging in grade levels and language to meet the classroom needs.

Kindness Challenge

During the month of February students were challenged to write 100 different ways to be kind. Their "kind" heart was placed outside the library.

Author Joan Bauer

On February 15, eight 5th grade students and seven 4th grade students were able to enjoy listening to winning Texas Blue Bonnet Author Joan Bauer in the Pharr Events Center. Thank you to Mrs. Galvan Library Director and Melissa Jimenez as well as Children's Plus for making this event a extraordinary one for our students.

Little Hero Dentistry

Our students during February 16, 2018 were able to enjoy and learn about the importance of keeping their teeth clean. Thank you Little Hero Dentistry for coming and sharing the dentistry information with our students.

Blind Date with a Book

The month of February in the library has been a super busy month. Students were able to enjoy participating in a Blind Date with a book thankfully to the Laura Bush Foundation Grant all the books were brand new. Students truly enjoyed the experience as well as making future decisions to take the book out again on a future date!

Donuts with Dad & Book Fair Event

Students and dads were able to enjoy the treat of a donut as well as the Scholastic Book Fair in the library during February 19th - 23rd.
