There are videos and images. If you drop down the My DE Services, you can look at the Social Studies Tech Books. There are graphic organizers, interactive maps, and lesson ideas available. Please be mindful of your standards when using anything in Discovery Education.

Another Free Trial: Study Sync by McGraw-Hill

This is a tool being offered for purchase. Right now, you can go in an check it out. If you are looking for really good primary and secondary resources, this is good. Once you log in, go to the library and put in some parameters for your search. They have articles from 1500 on. You can download the articles. This might be a good place to look for review readings for the NC Final.

We are looking to provide more variety in our RC days, especially the one in February next year. Please take the very short survey.

Only a Few Seats Left in the Social Studies Haiku Playground

The morning session is almost full. There is still room in the afternoon session.

- Practice using Haiku Assessment (easy grading!!)

- Google Draw - Students can create posters, diagrams, or use it for alternative assessment.

- Haiku Wikiprojects: a better way for students/groups to create projects

- Google Hangouts: bring community members to class virtually
