The third generation of computers
The third generation of computers were much smaller than the previous generations and they were capable of multitasking. These had integrated circuits which saved space and allowed them to be smaller. They used a more complex OS such as UNIX which came before Windows.
The fourth generation of computers
The fourth generation of computers were more advanced than any before them. They had multiple processors and were the first GUI based computers. The first personal PCs were released such as laptops and desktops.
The 4th generation of computers
Desktop
The desktop computers are wired and can't be moved. However, they are easier to fix and more customisable.
Laptop
Laptop are lightweight and can be moved around. Yet, they don't have as much processing power and are trickier to fix.
