Animal Farm vs. Russian Revolution

Germany vs. Russia
Germany and Russia have always had a complicated and fluctuating relationship, they have been allies, but they have also been fighting against each other in war.
During the Russian Revolution, the countries had a wavering relationship, where Russia thought they could trust Germany, but weren't sure, and at the last moment when a previous alliance had a fall-out, they formed an alliance with Germany, but it didn't work out the way they had hoped it would.
Britain vs. Russia
Britain and Russia always had a fluctuating relationship as well, but unlike Russia's relationship with Germany, Britain and Russia didn't hate each other at first. Their mutual hatred for Germany, originally bonded them together, and after things went down with Germany, they became close again.
How this relates to Animal Farm
When Napoleon opens up communication with humans again, he is on-and-off with both Frederick and Pilkington, which represents his relationship with both Germany and Britain. The relationship with either one of them really isn't incredibly strong, because neither of them want to get very involved, because they don't want to get their farms (their countries) to revolt the same way the Animal Farm has (Russia). The Animal farm, although had fluctuating relationships with the both of them, never associated with the both of them at the same time.
