First Full Week of Remote Learning!
PR Families,
You are amazing! Thank you so much for being patient with technology, your kiddos, and us as we continue to learn how to do remote learning. This is new and different and has required learning and an open mind from everyone! We sincerely appreciate you hanging in there. Several families spoke with teachers over the phone or exchanged several emails, to get things up and running last week. Hopefully, our technical interaction will be minimized and some learning and connecting can take center stage.
Shout out to our fantastic teachers for their responsiveness to our families!
Important Items:
- Math Journals should arrive by today in PR homes!
- Interventions: Be on the lookout for an email later in the week from your child's teacher regarding support from our interventionists/support staff.
- Auction begins Wednesday! Announcement below.
- Please see the letter from our Counselor Kathy Wittland below.
- Last week's newsletters are embedded in this newsletter for your reference and convenience.
- I have added a story to the Loom videos folders of a picture book and Chapter 5 of Saving Fable.
Weekly Schedule
April 20, 2020
Hello Pine Ridge Families,
I hope that this message finds all of you feeling strong and healthy. I sure am missing our wonderful Pine Ridge Rangers! Please know that I am happy to help any students who need some support. Please have them reach out to me on my Virtual Check-in attached below. I love hearing how our students are doing! Please also feel free to reach out to me by email at kwittland@fhps.net.
All of us, staff and families, are going through a wide range of feelings during this time. In the classroom lessons that I taught this year in all of the classes, we talked about dealing with feelings. When we don’t give attention to our feelings, we sometimes can make choices that harm ourselves and others. I am adding a helpful chart for our kids to remind them of some of the ways they can deal with their feelings during this challenging time.
Warmly,
Kathy Wittland
