FBMS Weekly Leadership Message

September 6, 2019

WEEK ONE IN THE BOOKS- WELCOME!

The FBMS leadership team would like to welcome our students and families in embracing a school year filled with kindness as we work together to build a strong academic and social foundation for each student.

It was a great opening day on Wednesday seeing the students exit the buses cheered on by faculty, MPSD Central Office Administration, school committee members and our Marshfield Police. Thursday was full of smiles for picture day & Friday we kicked off our spirit in NE Patriots gear.

Week one was full of GREAT energy! #proudtobefbms

THE 2019/20 ONE BOOK, ONE SCHOOL- ELEVEN

The 2019-2020 One Book, One School book that students read this summer was Eleven, by Tom Rogers. It is a historical fiction novel about a boy who turns 11 on September 11th. This book as described by Good Reads, "This is a story about bullies and heroes. About tragedy and hope. About enemies with two legs and friends with four, and pesky little sisters and cranky old men, and an unexpected lesson in kindness delivered with a slice of pizza."

FBMS will be rallying around this theme-Stronger Together!

Next Friday, September 13th, we will celebrate our OBOS book with a full-day of interdisciplinary and themed lessons & activities related to the book! It is always a fantastic day!
