If you are still interested in being a part of the TV Show and missed the informational meeting, come to B3 on Monday, September 26th, after school, to sign up to be a part of the TV Show. We are looking for crew members to handle camera equipment, reporters to prerecord special news segments and anchors to be on the live morning announcements.
Anchors, be ready for tryouts next week on Tuesday and Thursday after school from 2:25 - 3:00. The sign up sheet for anchor try-outs is by our Mobile Tech in the LMC. See Ms. Huart or Mrs. Michelau if you have questions.- Attention all 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out for Cheer or Poms- you must have a tryout packet form and an athletic permission form filled out and turned into Mrs. Mayers or Miss Hammerstone by Today, September 23 in order to try out. No exceptions. Please see Mrs. Mayers or Miss Hammerstone with any questions.
Attention all aspiring Thespians (that means theater people, if you didn't know)! Bernotas is starting its first pre-play drama club! Every year, we have a play in the Spring, but this year we're trying something new! We'll be meeting every other Tuesday starting next week, September 27, for a brief informational meeting. In coming weeks, we'll explore theater games, dramatic monologues, audition techniques, fundraising opportunities, and maybe even organize a play to watch. See or email Mrs. Rosenbloom if you have any questions, otherwise, we hope to see you Tuesday!
This Week's Happenings
Language Arts
To prepare ourselves for our Cantigny fieldtrip next week we started our 8th grade social studies with a discussion of war: what causes it, what we think of when we hear the word, emotions we feel when we hear the word.
Students are continuing to learn how to use visualization to strengthen reading comprehension. We're also working to spell and read our sight words.
