In art class, our youngest artists learned to mix primary colors into secondary colors! We also used items that were not paintbrushes. What a fun activity! Ask your kinder what items we used to paint with this week in art class
Methacton High School Theatre Company-Theatre Boot Camp
On Friday, October 14th, our students will be hosting a Theatre Bootcamp Fundraiser for students in Kindergarten - 8th Grade, from 6:30pm - 8:30pm in the high school cafeteria (Check in begins at 6pm). MHSTC members will run stations highlighting multiple theatrical aspects, such as lighting, props creation, dance, theatre games, stage hair and makeup, and more. UNIVERSAL FREE BREAKFAST PROGRAM
On Friday, September 9, 2022, Governor Wolf announced a Universal Free Breakfast program for all Pennsylvania students to begin on October 1, 2022 through the end of the 2022-2023 school year. As a result, all Methacton School District students will have the option to receive breakfast each morning at no cost. Students will be provided with a bagged grab and go breakfast that can be eaten in the cafeteria. Monthly menus can always be found at: https://methacton.schooldish.com/
How Can I Donate to the Backpack Program
There are several ways you can contribute to the Backpack Program:
Collection Bins
· Donations can be dropped off (Monday thru Friday) at the Methacton High School East Wing or Arcola Intermediate School. Collection bins are located near the entrance.
Amazon
· You can place an order through Amazon and ship it directly to the High School. Please remember to select, "No Weekend Delivery". The address is:

Individual Serving Food Items Needed
· Single serving boxes of milk (shelf-stable/not refrigerated)
· Mini Cereal Boxes
· Canned Soup (cans with "pop tops")
· Oatmeal packets or cups
· Applesauce and Fruit Cups
· Chef Boyardee, Hormel, Dinty Moore Meals, etc.

New Five Day Schedule
All the elementary schools will be operating on a five day (1,2,3,4,5) day cycle. The first day of school in day 1, the second day of school is day 2, etc. This will prevent students from missing certain classes that happen on certain days of the week. Counselor's Corner
Kindergarteners are learning what to do if someone is annoying. They practiced using Stop, Walk and Talk with common scenarios. If someone does something that annoys you, the first step is to make eye contact, use a clear voice and say “Stop” and include the behavior that is annoying. The other person should just Stop what they were doing. If the behavior continues, the student should walk away and ignore the problem behavior. If it still continues after that, then students should go Talk to a trusted adult for help. This system can work well for siblings too. Attendance
If your child is absent/tardy, please call the Child Check Line at 610-831-5325 and give your child’s name, grade, teacher’s name and a reason for the absence. Your child is considered “unexcused” until we receive that information. If we not receive a message from you, we will “attempt” to reach you.
Important Bus Rider Information
Just a reminder that students must ride home on the buses that they are assigned. Notes from the parents giving them permission to ride home on another bus is not permissible. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

LobbyGuard-Entrance to Building
All visitors to the building must have a valid driver's license or US passport when volunteering and signing in or signing out your child.

Due to food allergy reasons, we are not permitting edible birthday treats to be brought into school. We realize that birthdays are special to our students and families. We appreciate your support.
