Celebrating Law Day
Randolph High School was invited by Judge Linda Sable to represent Norfolk County at the 2023 Dedham District Court Law Day. Law Day is held every year to celebrate the role of law in our society and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession. This year's theme is "Cornerstones of Democracy: Civics, Civility, and Collaboration." Modern U.S. History students attended in order to showcase their Civics Action Project created during history class March through May.
Below are the projects presented and students who participated in Law Day:

Senior Internships
At the beginning of April, twelve seniors started their Senior Internship. The Senior Internship Program provides seniors a unique opportunity that helps bridge the gap between education and employment by providing a work-based learning experience. This opportunity is based on a student’s interests and skills and provides an experience for seniors that offers them the opportunity to become effectively engaged in real world settings.
The focus is to experience the day-to-day activities in a particular career path that interests the student. The goal of the program is to have the students: Learn more about the career they would like to pursue, learn about the job culture, gain hands-on experience, have the opportunity to work in the real world and learn new skills and abilities. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the following companies this year; Abington Bank, Accurounds, Codman Square Health Center, Sally’s Beauty, Town of Randolph, Randolph School District, and RICC.
Leadership Conference
10th and 11th graders attended the Light Foundation Leadership Conference. The students attended seminars, created vision boards, and visited Bridgewater State University. Nice work!

Beauty and the Beast
Graphic Novel Challenge
Thank you to Damariss Allaico and Alexander Pierre-Louis who participated in the Graphic Novel Challenge in May! They read three books each, illustrated their favorite characters, and participated in an entertaining book talk highlighting the exciting parts of their stories. They shared their favorite manga books (Tokyo Ghoul, Tomodachi Game, Toilet-bound Hanaku-kun, Seven Deadly Sins, Yona of the Dawn, Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure, and Komo Can't Communicate) which will be purchased next year for all to read.
Dog Therapy with GOFI
The 10th grade, ILC, and students from BRYT and AIM enjoyed some valuable "pet therapy" on May 18th in the library courtyard. Many had taken the MCAS that week and were deserving of some downtime! Golden retrievers from GOFI (Golden Opportunities for Independence) were present for students to pat and interact with. Congratulations to Linda Lao for getting the closest number in the Milkbone Guessing Game! Big thanks to the maintenance crew who cleaned up the courtyard and got it ready for the event. It looked great! And a big thank you to Ms. Lane for organizing and planning such a lovely event!
