CEA & United Way Book Drive
Once again, The Crestwood Education Association (CEA) is supporting the Book Drive donations for United Way of Wyoming Valley. Your support in the past has been overwhelmingly amazing! The Book Drive will continue through March 27th.
CEA & United Way Book Drive Public Relations by FV 4th Grade Students
4th grade student, Liam Dobash, handled the public relations for the CEA United Way Book Drive on Friday, March 8, 2019. The student volunteers loved having the spotlight to make the announcements.
The Americanism Essay Contest
The Mountain Top American Legion Auxiliary Unit 781 facilitated an essay contest. The essay topic pertained to how can we address and prevent veteran homelessness in our communities. The American Legion announced the winners and the FV Campus had three! The winners will be recognized at the American Legion Post 781 on March 13, 2019, @ 6:00 P.M.
FV School Counseling
This week, 5th grade students continued participated in classroom guidance lessons focusing on the importance of Empathy. Students took part in various role play activities where they were placed in “others people's shoes” and were encouraged to discuss how they felt in specific situations. Lessons will continue over the next few weeks and are being conducted by University of Scranton School Counseling Intern, Adam Kita. Back Pack Program gets Support from FNCB
The FV Campus is excited to announce that FNCB (soon to be in Mountain Top) has expressed interest in supporting Crestwood School District. FNCB demonstrated their commitment to our community by donating $500 dollars to the CSD Elementary Back Pack Program.
4th Grade Writes about President Lincoln
4th Grade students recently completed learning about President Abraham Lincoln and completed a Type 2 writing assignment.
