Your Tweetcher for the week of 9/9 is......Bridgette McCoy
Mrs. McCoy uses a variety of video and pictures to help us tell our story. Looking for ways that you can share our Cardinal story just like Bridgette? You can follow her on Twitter @mccoy_artclass. Take note of how Bridgette's pictures are crisp and not blurry and how they always highlight our students, which is what our parents want to see.
Way to go Bridgette!
Your Tweetcher for the week of 9/16 is.....Paul Carney
-George Couros
Last week, CHS Football Coach, Paul Carney, tweeted the picture below which helped remind our community of what it's really all about.
His football team, after a 3-hour practice, chose to spend time with the elementary flag football team. If you notice these "everyday moments" that highlight the great Cardinals we have, make sure you capture them......it will help drown out the negative!

Hello CSD!
Now that September payroll has taken place, please make sure you log into the SISFin portal and check your pay stub. You'll find it under the 'View Pay History and W-2' link.
When you click the link, you will see your gross pay and also taxes. Please make sure to review your Federal and State taxes. Submit new W-4's to me if you feel you need to change your withholdings.
To see job details and insurance deductions click 'print stub'. Your password is the last four digits of your social.
There are a few things you need to keep your eyes on:
Job Duty: Are you getting paid for all your contracted jobs?
Does your monthly/hourly gross pay look correct?
Do your deductions look correct?
Does your leave balance look correct?
It's a good idea to glance through your pay stub monthly.
Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!
I hope everyone has had a GREAT start to the school year!
Thanks!
Emily

*Tell us what you do in the CSD, how long you have been here and why you enjoy being a Cardinal.
I am the Director of Food Services. This will be my 12th year working in the CSD. The best part of being a Cardinal is being part of this awesome school district. Being a Cardinal means being part of a team, a family that works together to put the needs of our students first.
*Tell us a little bit about your family/where you are from.
I was born and raised in Orange County, California. We moved to Clinton in 2007. I have four children, Marissa (14) is a freshman, Anthony (13) is an 8th grader, Sean (12) is a 7th grader, and Christian (7) is in 2nd grade.
*Describe yourself in 3 words:
Caring, optimistic, dedicated
*What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Crime scene investigator
*Three things on your bucket list:
Take a road trip across the US
Go on a cruise
Visit Europe
*Something people are obsessed with that you don't get the point of:
Pumpkin spice.
The only thing it should be in is pumpkin pie. Even then you only need to eat it once a year on Thanksgiving.
SECRETARIES AND GRANDBABIES
Secretaries who work together, have grandbabies together!
Congratulations to Clinton Middle School secretaries, Shelley Harrelson and Janine Artist, who both welcomed grand babies to their families recently.
Duke Richard Harrelson, son of Preston and Hailee Harrelson, was born 8/23/19. Duke weighed 7lbs 4 oz and was 19 inches long.
Easton Lee Gengler, son of Luke and Heather (Artist) Gengler, made his appearance on 9/5/19, and was 8 lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long.
ONE PROUD MAMA
CIS Special Education Teacher, Vanessa Diaz shared this exciting news with us about her children, Jasmyn and Benjamyn.
Over the summer, Jasmyn and Benjamyn Diaz traveled with their family to Schaumburg, Illinois to take advantage of this opportunity and compete for a national title. Jasmyn’s solo “Conga”, received 4th place in the female jazz category. Benjamyn’s solo “Singin’ In The Rain”, received 1st place in the male jazz category. In the prime male solo division, Benjamyn was named the Overall Winner for his jazz solo, “Singin’ In The Rain”. Benjamyn also received the Best Presentation Award for the entire Prime Division at the national level.
While competing for the DanZa Prime STAR title, Jasmyn and Benjamyn were judged on their solo performances, a dance combination, and an interview. Each of their scores were combined to determine if they received a minimum of 375 points and placed in the top 10 to recompete in the Dance Off. After earning a spot to recompete in the Dance Off, Benjamyn was awarded the national title of Prime Male DanZa Star. Benjamyn now has the opportunity to perform at next year’s national competition as a reigning title winner.
