We are all very proud of you and cherish the time that we have spent together. Over these next few months, we still have learning to do, AP exams to take, and senior events to celebrate. Please read through this special LHS Senior Class Update for important information regarding the next few months.
Finals/Block Scheduling (5/17-5/21)
Mr. LHS
Mr. LHS is Friday, April 23rd at 7 pm and will be live-streamed on Youtube on the LibertyLHSlivestream account. The students will be participating in a group dance, formal wear, and talent portion. The night will be hosted by Anna Decker and Kelly Karre.
Swofford Scholarship 5K Fun Run/Walk
It is a tradition each year to have a Seniors vs. Staff event to raise money for the Swofford Scholarship. Even though we can't host a basketball game this year, you can still challenge a teacher or coach to compete with you for a good cause. Sign up
here for the SOS (Save our Scholarship) Virtual 5K event. Even family and friends of seniors can participate to support this great cause and try to earn the bragging rights of beating the faculty! Registration includes a commemorative Senior vs. Staff t-shirt!!
Senior Honors and Awards Recognition
Senior Honors Night has been converted to a Senior Honors Recognition video. Students who have met the criteria to be included in this recognition will be contacted for their information which will be included. (Students who have achieved Cum Laude Honors or higher, Bright Flight, George Washington Carver - Top 10%, Local Scholarship winners, and LHS Departmental Excellence Award recipients will be included). The video will be released at
3pm on May 14th. Traditionally, this is an event that would allow seniors to invite their family and friends. And, we hope that you will still be able to do just that... consider hosting a watch party (in-person with those who can safely attend, and virtually with those who can't).
Certificates, honor cords, and medals will be distributed with caps and gowns at graduation practice on May 26th.
Senior Sunset
Senior Sunset is scheduled for May 18th from 7 - 9 pm at the LHS Stadium (May 19th is the make-up date if the weather is an issue on the 18th). This event will be outdoors. Food, Drinks, and entertainment will be provided.
Bridge Walk
Families Join us May 21st "across the bridge" to welcome our seniors as they leave Liberty High School for the last time. The Bridge walk ceremony will begin around 1:50 pm on May 21st. Families are invited to greet the seniors across the walking bridge. We encourage families to arrive at 1:40 pm and to park in the stadium lot. For more information on "what" the Bridge Walk is, please read below.
A tradition is an inherited, established, or customary pattern of thought, action, or behavior. It is the handing down of information, beliefs, and customs by word of mouth or by example from one generation to another.
Although the past 12 + months have been extraordinary, we have a few established customs and beliefs that include acceptance, family, and spirit we want to reestablish.
To symbolically mark the end of your senior year we will participate in the Liberty Bridge Walk. Your families are invited to help “welcome” you across the bridge and into the next phase of your life. Due to the pandemic, we ask that students and families wear masks and remain socially distanced.
Traditions bond people together as a shared experience. No other high school in Wentzville has a tradition leading in the freshmen and leading the senior out*, which is also symbolic. At Liberty, we think outside the box. We are creative and we dare to try new things. We are also welcoming and value a family atmosphere.
*Oscar Wilde said, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Others have tried to mimic this tradition, but this tradition belongs to YOU! #Eagleskingdom
Senior Luau
Immediately following Graduation Practice seniors will be invited to meet on the football field for Chick-fil-A lunch and some outdoor fun.

Fines & Fees
Seniors all fines and fees must be paid. Please check your student portal for any fines or fees you may have occurred. Payments can be made by cash or check (made out to LHS) to the financial office (Mrs. Webb).

Virtual Students - Items to Drop off
You can drop off any items to avoid fines and fees after the school year wraps up. The office is open Monday - Thursday 7 am - 3 pm for item drop-off. Please have your name on the items (post-it works perfectly).
Items to consider:
- Chromebooks (including cases and chargers)
- Textbooks
- Library Books
- Other Misc. items
