Animal Homelessness and Cruelty

Animal cruelty and homelessness are more common then you think.
The number of homeless animals outruns homeless people 5 to 1. While about 7.6 million (companion) animals enter a homeless shelter each year. These facts really show the importance of homelessness. But speaking of animal cruelty, approximately 2.7 million dogs and cats are KILLED due to cruelty AND homelessness.
Animals are like humans,
they need care, love, safety, shelter, a family.
Animal shelters are being overflown,
shelters around the world are having to take in the millions of animals beaten or homeless.
Only 1 out of 10 animals
will find a home every year.
Pros of preventing animals cruelty & homelessness
- More people in the world WILL be happier because more than half people will agree it is wrong to leave animals on the streets or in cages or alone beaten and hungry.
- The shelters won't be over stocked to where they can't take in anymore animals.
ASPCA is one of the most popular organizations that help.
https://www.aspca.org/ ASPCA is a great example of an organization that has stepped up to solve this act. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was the first humane society to be established in North America and is now one of the largest in the world!
Their organization was founded on the "belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans and must be protected under the law."
Help stop animals cruelty/homelessness today!
Step up to the cause:
All you have to do would simply be to volunteer at a pet shelter, or just call in when you see an animal in danger or alone! Also, try to help persuade others to help this cause or persuade others to adopt/foster. Together, (even doing the simplest things) we can help prevent this!
