The phonograph was created by Thomas Edison. He invented the phonograph in 1877. It worked by having someone rotate a hand crank. Another person spoke into a mouth piece. As they speak a needs makes dents into tinfoil recording the sound waves. The sound was played back by another needle attached to the cylinder that has the dents from the recording. The sound that plays sound similar to the sound that was recorded.
Change and Benefits
From the phonograph music has gotten easier to listen too. It has from a radio to a jukebox all the way too cars a phones. Music is on the go and easy to have. With out the phonograph ever being invented we would still be listening to music through instruments that we have and live concerts.
