From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank all the families who have graciously gifted their child's teachers with holiday gifts and goodies! Your generous acts of kindness are warming our hearts this week!

Winter Party Volunteers Needed

Hello Smith Parents! We would love to have your help to make this a fantastic winter party for the kids. Please review the volunteer opportunities and help if you can. This format is only going to be used for the winter party. We suggest volunteering at a time that you child(ren) are not scheduled to have their party. That way you can circulate around the party with your child and not volunteer during that time. During photo booth and snack stations, the emcee with call each class separately to those two stations, otherwise the students will be free to visit the station of their choosing during their party time.

Lunch In Classrooms Day of Party!

Please note the change in our Winter Party time. 5th grade will have their party on December 20th, from 8:45 am to 9:30 am. We hope you will be able to attend!

The cafeteria will be used for class parties throughout the day; therefore, we will be eating lunch in our classrooms. Students will be able to purchase a lunch if needed, but please send your child with a packed lunch if possible. Since we are eating in our rooms, we will not be able to have parents eat lunch with their child on that day. Please feel free to join them for lunch on another day!

Yearbook Cover Designs Due Tomorrow!

For those students who are partaking in the yearbook cover design, please note that they are due tomorrow. No late entries will be accepted.

  • Designs should take up an entire side (from edge to edge) of an 8 ½" by 11” piece of white printer paper. Students may see Mrs. Fariss if they need paper.
  • Designs should include the school name and the year (2019-2020). Designs MAY be based on the school theme, “Smith Rocks”; however, this is not a requirement and students can choose a different idea.
  • Designs must be school appropriate.

All Lost and Found Being Donated

Please make sure to check the lost and found for anything your child may be missing. It is overflowing!! What ever is still there after Friday the 20th will be donated. Thank you.

2019-2020 Class Parties Payment

Dear Parents/Guardians:

The PTA helps with the class parties by collecting money, organizing the room parents and handling all reimbursements.

This year, we are asking to please send in your onetime class party donation of $12.00 cash or check (payable to Smith PTA) to cover all three class parties for the year. These include the Winter Ball, Valentine’s Day Party, & the End of the Year Party. You can also pay online

Please disregard this reminder if you have already paid. If you haven’t, please pay as soon as possible as it helps the Room Parents to plan out the three parties for our kids.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact Katie Augustine, PTA Treasurer: email
