So You Want To Be A Musician?
Enroll in EHS's newest music course, the Buzz Lab Band! No experience is required and beginners are welcome. This course is designed to help students learn a band instrument that they’ve always wanted to try or help students learn the basic skills on an instrument that they may have started and then put away for a while. This course is your chance to start from scratch on an instrument of your choice. See the EHS program of studies for more information, or email Heather Trutor with any questions.
Course Registration for the 22-23 School Year
We are almost at the time of year for students to enter their course requests into PowerSchool for classes that they would like to take next school year. Students will have advisory time dedicated to learning about the course registration process on Monday, January 31st, and Thursday, February 3rd. The PowerSchool registration portal will be open for the second advisory meeting (1/31) through the end of the third advisory meeting (2/3). Students must enter course requests by the end of the advisory on 2/3.
Students will have an individual meeting with their school counselor after they have entered their course requests into PowerSchool, and those counselor meetings will occur between 2/3 to 3/8. Students can check the meeting times that are posted in the counseling lobby or by asking their advisor. Parents, guardians, and caregivers are invited to be involved in the sign-up process by spending time with their students in the PowerSchool system and the steps are below:
Steps to take to enter course requests (starting 1/31 and must be done before 11:20 am on February 3rd)
1. Student logs into PowerSchool (if you have problems logging in, call the helpdesk at 857-7000 x1234)
2. Select "class registration"
3. Review your teacher recommendations
4. Follow the directions to choose courses and alternates (in case your first choices are not available)
5. Remember to CLICK on the SUBMIT button to finish
