A Newsletter for our Riverside Community

Week of April 20, 2020

From Mr. Anderson

Riverside Families and Friends,

I trust that you are giving yourself and others plenty of grace during these unprecedented times. I know I sure need some (ask Mrs. Anderson). I am so proud of the effort that our Riverside staff, students and families are making to stay connected and learning. Below you find a few details on student materials pick up next week and student class placement for the 20/21 school year.

Student Materials Pick Up

Staff and teachers are busy cleaning out classrooms and preparing student items for pick up next week. With 726 amazing Riverside students, this effort takes some coordination and rubber gloves. Imagine the treasures that the desk of a 3rd grade boy might hold in it. It's an adventure to be sure! We will begin distributing student supplies to families next Tuesday, April 28. Here is a document that details our process. Thank you for your patience.

Class Placement 20/21 School Year

We are in the beginning phases of creating classroom student lists for next year. Parent input is an important part of this process. Here is a document detailing our process and giving parents the opportunity to share their input.

The BTFE collection process has changed and according to BTFE, the new process is here to stay. If you haven't done so yet, please take time to read the attached flyer for the new process. It is important to scan your receipts within 14 days of purchase. Scanning your receipt only takes a few seconds, and many times we are granted bonus box tops as well, if you have products with both traditional and the digital Box Tops scanning them gives extra credits. Please help to make our goal of $1,000 this year. If you have questions on the process you can email Olivia McGregor at
