Principal's Notes and Highlights

Happy Friday!

This upcoming Wednesday is Walk to School Day! We will be leaving from the Mill Race parking lot at 7:30 a.m. and walking down 5th Street. I will be there by 7 a.m. if you want to drop your child off. You are also more than welcome to walk with us. If it rains we will reschedule for Thursday. Right now the weather looks good, but I will send an email on Tuesday if it changes. Please join us!

  • Thank you to all those who donated food for the parent-teacher conferences AND for participating in our PTO Chili's fundraiser!
  • Cheerleading tryouts are next week. Athletes must have a physical on file to participate. Please contact Miss Moore if you have questions.
  • This upcoming Friday will be the last Wheel's Friday until Spring Break.

Have a great weekend!

3rd & 4th grade support C.A.R.E.

The 3rd and 4th grade Farmer's Market project managers presented C.A.R.E with a check for $100. The classes picked C.A.R.E. to donate half of their profit from the Farmer's Market sales. C.A.R.E. was very appreciative and told the students that the money would be used to buy bottles to feed several newborn kittens. C.A.R.E. also sent us an 'Orchid' in The Republic newspaper today!

Student Spotlight: Isaac V.

Isaac V. finished first place in the pre-k/kindergarten division at the Mill Race Fun Run this past weekend! Congrats to Isaac!

Pearson Perspective (Grades 3-6) A resource for parents

Below is information that was provided to schools by the Indiana Department of Education. This is just a resource similar to the ACT or SAT practice tests that high school students take to improve their scores.

Pearson Perspective: Pearson Perspective is a supplemental online instructional resource site that provides thousands of enrichment learning resources to help teachers and families improve their students’ performance. All of the supplemental resources are aligned to the Indiana Academic Standards to ensure students have access to materials that support their curriculum. Families can use the Learning Locator to access personalized learning for students based on their individual state test scores.
