BHS S1 FINAL EXAM INFORMATION

Winter has come to Barrington! First semester finals are scheduled for Monday, December 16th through Friday, December 20th to accommodate the chance of wintery weather during finals week. Students should be prepared for the first day of finals to be Monday, December 16th. On Friday, December 13th, based on the extended weather forecast, we will determine when finals will start which could be as early as Monday the 16th or as late as Wednesday the 18th. We will post the decision on our web site, facebook, student announcements, and send out an email blast to parents and students.

PLEASE NOTE: Some classes will have a project, paper, portfolio, or presentation as their final assessment or the final exam will be administered during regularly scheduled class time so those course will not be listed on the chart.

Below is the schedule for the three days designated as final exams days.

ANTI-VAPING CAMPAIGN

With the support of the Lake County Health Department, we have continued to address the increased use of electronic smoking devices ( 'vapes') among youth in our community. Below is the most recent poster that can be found throughout BHS, BMS Station & BMS Prairie. The anti-vaping communication campaign aims to increase students' knowledge about e-cigarettes. The message focuses on the concerns associated with nicotine addiction, lung disease, and the harmful chemicals in vaping devices.

Vaping is up to about 9% of 8th graders as well.
