Symptoms

Malaria is deadly. Here are symptoms to see if you've been infected: fever, severe chills, sweating, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and muscle pain.

Transmission

Malaria is transmitted by any animal or insect carrying the parasite. The most common transmission of malaria is mosquitoes.

Organs

If you are infected with a Malaria parasite, the parasite will pass through your blood and into your liver where it reproduces making it harder to eliminate this deadly disease.

Babesiosis

Babesiosis is a disease similar to Malaria because it is caused by the same parasite.

Cure

Doctors are still working together to make a vaccine for Malaria, but that doesn't mean there is no cure for the disease. Doctors have made a a tablet that can cure Malaria, they are called Artemisinin- bases combination therapies (ACT's) are they best way to cure Malaria. This life saving tablet cost only one dollar and cure a child in one to three days

The Government has definitely heard about Malaria and that is why our funding for it is so huge. Government funding for Malaria is currently at a one and a half billion U.S dollars

One organization that helps with Malaria is MalariaNoMore. MalariaNoMore is a organization that gives nets to kids in large areas in Africa. The nets serve as protection so they don't get bit by mosquitoes.

Keeping The Public Safe

One way to prevent a deadly meeting with Malaria is to have bed netting. Bed netting is one of the best ways to prevent that pesky mosquito from inserting a deadly parasite into your blood. Another way to prevent Malaria is to spray your house with Insectide spray to prevent any insects from entering your home. Now, here are some easy things anyone can do to prevent getting Malaria, do not eat foods served at room temperature, be cautious of where you travel and what you eat, don't drink tap water, wear long sleeve shirts to prevent any mosquito bites
