GOALS FOR THE WEEK
WEEKLY WORDS OF WISDOM
LET'S GET CURIOUS
Sometimes it feels like we’d like to know everything all at once. However, our world might be pretty boring if that happened. Part of the amazing thing in life is learning things we never thought about before and doing things we never imagined. When we approach life with a lens of discovery, the world becomes more interesting and exciting. This week, we’d like you and your family to take step towards discovery and better understanding as we invite you to BE CURIOUS. Our CURIOSITY will become a tool to get to better know people, concepts, situations, experiences and the world. We will connect to how being CURIOUS starts with admitting that we don’t know everything and that’s okay. CUROSITY will help us there, step by step. This is why BEING CURIOUS, matters.
BEING CURIOUS and seeking to UNDERSTAND are incredibly important in helping us to better appreciate the people around us and our world. Sometimes we make guesses about things we don’t actually know and sometimes it is hard to admit that we don’t know something. Sometimes, it can be difficult to ask questions because we worry about what other people think but being inquisitive and learning is what life is all about. So, let’s think differently about BEING CURIOUS. Let’s allows ourselves to learn and know even more. When we are CURIOUS and see that there is value in UNDERSTANDING, we are reminded of how much we MATTER.
FAMILY FOCUS
BE CURIOUS
One of the main goals of education is to help students learn how to think. We kids are young, we marvel at their curiosity. However, as students grow into adults, they sometimes lose that curious spirit and content with finding fast answers instead of thinking deeply. We are guilty of that as adults too! This week, spend some time returning to curiosity. Instead of quickly looking up an answer on Google, talk about possible answers as a family. Get curious! Talk about the questions below and see how you can increase curiosity within your family. Let's exercise our brains this week and think about using our imagination and curiosity.
