A credit score is a three digit number calculated from your credit report and is one factor used by lenders to determine your worthiness for a mortgage, loan or credit card. Your score can affect whether or not you approve and what interest rate you are being charged.

  • A long credit history will help your score: Credit scores are based on experience over time.
