Hackberry Howl

Vol. 1 No.13

Tis the Season

Are you struggling to finish your shopping? Are you wondering what to give to a colleague or friend? I want to challenge you to think about these great gifts that everyone would love to receive!

The gift of listening: no interrupting, no daydreaming, no checking your iphone. Just listening.

The gift of affection: be generous with hugs, pats on the back, and compliments.

The gift of laughter: laugh at yourself, share funny stories, love to laugh WITH people.

The gift of appreciation: a written note, an email, a quick phone message – all these things tell others that you notice and you appreciate them.

The gift of forgiveness: let go of past hurts, let go of imagined wrongs, work to create harmony

The gift of cheerfulness: smile, say hello, say thank you, be positive.

Can you imagine any gifts better than these?
