Spain, Puritans, and the U.S.A
Family and communal values
Communal
In Spain, separate neighborhoods put on fairs to celebrate life in general. In America, we hold town and county fairs as well as parades to celebrate various holidays such as Easter Christmas and thanksgiving. Puritans celebrate holidays and special events by going to their house of worship.
Family
Puritans as well as many Spaniards have strong family values and are very close knit. Many puritans had large families which is also common among many Americans today. On the other hand the average Spanish family has approximately 2 kids. These families often help each other how ever they can and always meet on special occasions such as holidays and birthdays.
Puritans
Large families with many kids to help on the farm.
Americans
Large families with close knit ties.
Spanish
Small very close families.
