Peer Tutoring
Royal High School's Center for Academic Success ("The CAS") provides academic support for students experiencing challenges through weekly tutoring and guidance from upperclassmen student tutors from our chapters of National Honor Society and Math Honor Society.
Housed in our Library building in Room 2-2, the CAS is equipped with editions of each of our course textbooks and full access to all of our Library resources.

IB Information Night
Interested in taking higher-level classes next year? Want to learn more about the (IB) International Baccalaureate program at Royal? Come to IB Information Night on 2/8 at 6:30pm in the library. The USC Director of Admissions will be there, along with Royal students and staff, to discuss the benefits of an IB education. Athletic Tryouts
Be a part of something special! Join an athletic team. Tryouts are happening now!
Swimming tryouts: All are welcome, no experience necessary. Any students interested in joining the team see Coach in room 8-5. Official swimming tryouts on Thursday, February 2 at Rancho Pool from 3-5 pm. We will be doing a "Mock Meet" in which swimmers can sign up for events. It will have the "feel" of a real swim meet.

SPOTLIGHT ON..... Oregon State University
10 Fast Facts:
1. Located in Corvallis, Oregon, about 1.5 hours south of Portland, Oregon State (OSU) is situated on a beautiful and historic campus, and considered to be one of America’s best college towns.
2. OSU is home to the Beavers and to 29, 945 undergraduate students.
3. OSU is considered one of the top 1.4% of all universities in the world.
4. All 50 states and 107 countries are represented at OSU, and 10,030 are students of color.
5. OSU has 2 campuses, 11 colleges, 12 experiment stations, extension programs in all 36 Oregon counties, and offers nearly 200 degree programs!
6. Out of all of the universities in Oregon, OSU receives the most funding for research. It is also 1 of only 3 land, sea, space, and sun grant universities in the United States.
7. OSU has an 18:1 student-to-faculty ratio, with an average class size of 26 students.
8. OSU competes in NCAA Division 1 athletics, in the Pac 12 athletic conference.
9. Oregon State’s most popular majors are Computer Science, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, and Kinesiology/Exercise Science. OSU is also well known for its specialized focus on the studies of marine science, forestry, and sustainable food systems.

JOIN PTSA!
Please consider supporting your Royal High School PTA by joining the PTSA for only a $7.00 fee.
Your membership dues help the many programs offered at the school such as Reflections, Every 15 mins, Distracted Driver, Scholarship Awards, and the Senior BBQ among others.
As a member you have a voice and vote at all PTSA Association meetings, you can advocate for students and teachers at the state level, and it also provides college scholarship opportunities for eligible students (qualifications include a 2-year membership.)
Membership DOES NOT require you to volunteer, but volunteers are welcome.
