Infants 0-17 months -Exploration
Toddlers 18-35 months - Traditional Tales
Early literacy experts agree that toddlers need to be introduced to book knowledge. They need to learn how to hold a book and how to turn pages.
Week 1~ The Three Little Pigs- All children are intrigued by the story of three little pigs and the houses they built. This week the children will learn about the number three and how to outsmart a wolf.
Week 2~ The Three Bears- This week the children will enjoy the time-honored story of "The Three Bears" They will learn about manners, bears and the difference between real and make-believe.
Week 3~ Three Billy Goats Gruff- This week children will learn about the Three Billy Goats Gruff. This is a great tale of cooperation among siblings.
Week 4~ The Gingerbread Man- This week children will learn about the Gingerbread Man and will in activities that spring from this classic story.
Three's - Amazing Critters
Week 1~This week, we will focus on crawling critters, such as ants, spiders, caterpillars, and beetles.
Wonderful Word of the Week~ Entomologist
Week 2~ Our focus for this week will be our flying friends, such as butterflies, bees, mosquitoes, flies, dragonflies, and ladybugs.
Wonderful Word of the Week~ Metamorphosis
Week 3~ As we continue our fascinating study of small creatures, we will focus this week on critters that jump or hop. We will explore grasshoppers, crickets, and frogs.
Wonderful Word of the Week~ Serenade
Week 4~ Our last week of small creatures take us to scaly and slithering critters. We will focus on lizards, chameleons, snakes, iguanas, and worms.
Wonderful Word of the Week~ Slither
Pre-K
Our next theme is all about “Growing Up Healthy.” Children will learn about nutritious eating, exercise, and other positive ways of taking care of themselves. We will also learn what to do in case of an emergency and how to call 911. Children must develop self-awareness at a young age in order to be healthy for life. It is one of our year-long goals but will be a special focus during this theme. Help your child develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime!

Bonham- Thrilling Threes
Ms. Eliza~ I have worked in childcare for 15 years, 2 years with Grand Prairie ISD. I enjoying seeing children's eyes light up when they discover something new. I encourage the children in my class to show their creative side by making up stories by looking at pictures.
Whitt-Wondrous Ones
Ms. Alicia~ Child care is a passion of mine and I have been lucky enough to do it for over 20 years. Even though this is my first year with the Grand Prairie child care department I feel so lucky to be here. I love watching children learn and master new things and I am always encouraging them to do their best.

Ms. Kira~ I have worked in childcare for 10 years, the last 2 with GPISD. I enjoy working with children because they represent hope for the future. Knowing that my job is to help kids achieve their full potential and to help them feel happy about themselves and what they are learning. I am always encouraging the children in my class to do their best and keep trying.

Paw Patrol Live!
Based on the hit animated TV series on Nickelodeon produced by Spin Master, PAW Patrol Live! brings everybody's favorite pups to the stage for an action-packed, high-energy, musical adventure. When Mayor Goodway is nowhere to be found during the day of the Great Race, the pups come to the rescue. Ryder summons Marshall, Chase, Skye, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, and the newest pup, Everest, to rescue Mayor Goodway and to run the race in her place.

Kids Fest
A host of activities are planned for the day at Kids Fest. The Big Red Patio stage will feature performers from the well known Scarborough Renaissance Festival. A second stage will be located at the Village Food Court on 6th Street and Central Avenue. This stage will feature Professor Brainius. Professor Brainius has a high energy show of music, songs, and experiments with audience participation in teaching math and science in a fun way.
In addition to these stage shows the GPISD and other groups will each have a tent with a variety of fun activities for children of all ages. On 6th street, there will be face painters and clowns. All the fun starts at 12 noon.
Admission to Traders Village is FREE and it’s just $4.00 to park. Traders Village is centrally located in Grand Prairie, Texas just off Highway 360 on Mayfield Road
