Principal's Message
I have loved getting to know all of the students at Baker this year. The hard part about being in a fast-growing district and area is that we have to build new schools to accommodate the growth and students have to move schools. It can be such an exciting adventure for students and staff. I know I will be sad to lose students and staff members to Reeves Elementary, but I also know that they are in wonderful hands with Ms. Kasey Maas as the principal and Ms. Stephanie Romero as the assistant principal. If you are unsure where your child will be attending school next year. Here is the zoning map. I know how exciting it is to open a new school, so I know our students will have a hand in new traditions and creating a positive culture at Reeves.
We had our last Baker's Best Virtual Assembly for the year. We celebrated students who have really exemplified kindness this year. Here are the links to the videos.
Spring pictures are on Wednesday, April 21st. Our in-person learners will be taking both individual pictures and class pictures. Our virtual learners will be taking individual pictures after school from 3:15-5. Here is the sign-up for our virtual learners to choose a time to come.
As always, please let us know if we fall short of communicating with you. We want this to be a partnership for your child to succeed!
Sincerely,
Ashley Gannon
Principal, Baker Elementary
COVID-19 Screener
If your child is learning in person, please make sure to go through the Screener questions each day. Here is the link to the Screener. If your child tests positive has been exposed to a COVID positive individual, or has one or more of the symptoms on the screening questionnaire, use the link at the bottom of the questionnaire to notify the school nurse and do NOT send your child to school until receiving clearance to return from the school nurse.
*If your child has a chronic condition that presents as one of the symptoms on the screening questionnaire, it is recommended that you contact the school nurse and your child's teacher about the chronic symptom so that both of these key school personnel are aware.
Kinder Connection
Students Having Lunch with their Families
When you come, you will check in with Ms. Flores in the front office with your ID to receive a badge. Your child will be in the office, and you will go eat outside. Once the 30 minutes are over, you will escort your child back into the building. Please be timely because we will need to clean the tables, and your child will want to go to recess. You cannot attend recess. If the weather is bad, you can sit in your car with your child or you may try to sign up for another day.
Your child will not be checked out of school, but if you are taking your child home please let Ms. Flores know, so she can check him/her out.
Here is the lunch sign-up for the remainder of the year.
