Kirk Fenton News
21st June 2019
Dear Parents / Carers,
This week has been a sporty week again at Kirk Fenton with our youngest children from the Nursery taking on the 'Big Toddle' at the beginning of the week to raise money for Barnado's. We have ended the week with Sport's Day and seen great perseverance from pupils, respect for each other and thanksgiving that the weather stayed dry! Congratulations to Eloise in Year 5 and Dexter G in Year 2 who won the trophies this year for outstanding sportsman and sportswomanship. They have impressed us all year with how hard they work in PE and how well they support others in their class and teams. Well done to them!

Sports Day
Well done to everyone who worked very well in their teams, showing great perseverance, determination and respect. Congratulation go to the Green Gladiators who were the winners.
A huge thank you and well done to the Y6s who did a fabulous job of running the events on the playground and were so encouraging and motivating. Also thank you to Friends for providing the gazebos and helping clear away and to everyone who came to show their support.

Thank you to everyone who sent in donations for the chocolate tombola on Wednesday. Such generosity! The summer fair is nearly upon us, and next week in the final run up, we will be collecting donations at school from Monday to Wednesday of any of the following: tombola prizes, second hand or new teddies, children's DVDs and toys.
We have nearly - but not quite - enough volunteers to run the full event. Please get in touch if you are able to help. There is a sign-up sheet in the school office or you can add your name via Facebook, email us or speak to any of your friendly committee.
Please remember to sell your raffle tickets - there are some lovely prizes…. and return the stubs and money in a sealed envelope to the school office by next Wednesday 26th. We are excited to reveal that we are raising funds for a new reading scheme to help more children fall in love with books. A great cause and a fun community event await!
