LIM Weekly: The Power of CONTRIBUTION
Going into the week lets take time in a Morning Meeting to start having these conversations with our students to begin shifting our paradigm!
"I think it’s as simple—and as difficult—as shifting our paradigm. We need to keep reflecting on how we are unintentionally and intentionally seeing. It’s through this vigilant activity we will do things differently to get the results we are really after.
When children find their voice, understand the responsibility of giving back, and use their talents for good, we should never have to worry about achievement again. In that kind of culture, it will just happen—where every child understands, “I can’t be good at everything, but I’m good at this, and you’re good at that, and together we can synergize to make it happen.” What a difference that would make. The possibility brings tears to my eyes, it’s such a game-changer."

Feeding Our Students
- Twenty-two million children receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. For many of these children, school meals may be the only meals they eat. What happens when they go home over the weekend?
- Free/Reduced Forms went out last week to support any families that may have had a change in their employment. Return the forms to Mrs. Tylka in the office asap.
- If Zitzman's Free/Reduced percentages get to 50%, then ALL students will eat free during Summer School.
- See Mrs. Flexsenhar if you know of a student needing meals over the weekend. Mrs. Karl and Mrs. Flexsenhar have teamed up to support many of our students with snacks and backpacks filled with meals.
Checkout the Backpack Program cabinet that Mrs. Karl has worked to fill for our students. Eight students are benefiting from the Backpack Program
