State Assessments

This year students will be taking the M-Step instead of the MEAP. Atherton Jr/Sr High has opted to take the online version. Below is the scheduled dates for that test and other State test. We will send additional information regarding the M-Step in March.

Parents can sample what the test is going to look like by following the hyperlink below. I strongly recommend that all students preview this information:

Please note: The Spring 2015 Preview is just that, a preview of the item types and system tools. It does not represent all standards for ELA and mathematics, nor

all grade levels. A more complete M-STEP sample will be released in early 2015.

The M-STEP Spring 2015 Preview must be used in Google Chrome. Copy and paste this link into Chrome:

Click on the 2015 Preview Link, you will then need to click to sign on. Once on the sign in page, use the username and password displayed on the screen to log in.

NAEP - Our seniors have been selected to take a standardized test from the National Assessment of Educational Progress on February 23, 2015.

NAEP, or the National Assessment of Educational Progress, is often called the "Nation's Report Card." It is the largest continuing and nationally representative assessment of what our nation’s students know and can do in core subjects. NAEP is congressionally mandated, and was first administered in 1969 to measure student achievement nationally. Teachers, principals, parents, policymakers, and researchers all use NAEP results to assess progress and develop ways to improve education in the United States. A parent letter will follow in February with question and answer review of the testing process to clarify any questions you may have.
