Reminder of our Veteran's Day Assembly tomorrow, 11/8, 9:00 am. All are welcome!! We will recognize Veterans in the crowd from all branches of the military - please join us and bring family members who are veterans, as well. We look forward to recognizing this important day.
News from Girls on the Run
Hello CCE Community! We have an exciting event to share with you!
For the last several weeks, eight of our CCE girls have been participating in and training for the Girls on the Run 5K. They will be running the race on Saturday, November 16th, at Mile High Stadium. They would LOVE for their friends, family and CCE staff to come out and celebrate with them. You can participate in the race, or come out and cheer them on!

Race Day Registration: $30

The race starts about 10:00am. If you would like to participate, you will need to be there by 8:00am and be sure to register online before November 13th at midnight!
This is an awesome organization and the girls and coaches have had such a fun season! We hope you consider coming out and cheering these young athletes on!

The Preschool to Kindergarten Transition Process - What Every Family Needs to Know
DCSD Early Childhood Department is sponsoring regional Preschool to Kindergarten Transition Process information meetings! Click here for more information on how to RSVP
These informational meetings will help families better understand how to prepare for the changes in educational processes as their child transitions from Preschool to Kindergarten.
A panel of Preschool and Kindergarten educators will be at each of the regional meetings. Representation on the panel may include Kindergarten, Elementary Administration, Special Education, Transportation, Nursing and Early Childhood Education.

Volunteers will be helping with the hearing screening or with gathering classes from the classrooms at the appropriate time for screening. The volunteers do not need prior experience and willy will undergo a 20 minute training and practice session with hearing team members at the beginning of their volunteer shift prior to working with the students.
Because of the technical nature of the screening procedures, it is requested that volunteers not bring children with them, and that they be able to come promptly for training at the requested time. Able to volunteer? Send Lisa White an email to sign up.

Deputy Jay Martin is considered an expert on the topic & speaks Nationally on best practices digitally. He created a Social Media Basics course for the National Association of School Resource Officers requiring all SRO’s across the U.S. to learn and teach in their communities.

ThunderRidge High School - November 18th - Screenagers Next Chapter
This is just a reminder that TRHS will host the latest Screenagers movie, Next Chapter, on November 18th in our auditorium at 6 pm. There is no charge for the event, though due to space constraints registration is required.

The American Red Cross Babysitter's Training class will be held at Summit View Elementary School in Highlands Ranch on the PD day on Monday, November 11th, 10:00am-5:00pm All 5th-10th Grade students are welcome.

Tennis & Golf classes - TGA Premier Sports Winter Session
Come play - we bring the golf course and tennis court to you! Beginner and intermediate players will have a blast building their skills, learning about the rules and etiquette of the games,and exploring how academic concepts like gravity, spin, and force apply to golf and tennis through fun games and activities.
We conduct after-school tennis and golf classes at elementary schools in Douglas County and will be having winter classes that will be open to students of other schools. We want kids to stay active and play sports throughout the winter and we would love to see your students in our classes. Click here for the information.
