NO FUSS FUNDRAISER PLAYGROUND UPDATES!
Concrete has been poured and sod has been placed to improve the muddy parts of our playground! The shade structures are on their way as well. We will then be adding landscaping to make all of our playground usable for recess and outdoor classrooms. We cannot wait to show you more pictures as we work! Please see before and after pictures below!
May Appreciation Days
We want to show a little extra love to these lovely ladies this month.
May 1 is Principal Appreciation Day and OCPS would not be what it is without Mrs. Hilley! She is our rock. Thank you!
May 1-5 is PE Appreciation Week. Mrs. Bowen makes each day fun for our little chiefs while teaching them movement and exercise.
May 5 is Lunch Hero Day! Our cafeteria staff cannot be beat. Make sure to thank them when you see them for all the love and dedication to nutrition they put in to preparing meals each day.
May 10 is School Nurse Day. If you have not met Nurse Brooke yet, please take a moment to introduce yourself and thank her. She is a favorite among the students and works hard to meet the needs of our little chiefs every day.
May 18 is Speech Pathologist Day. Mrs. Reed works tirelessly at her job helping our young chiefs and is loved by every child she sees.
When you are in the school this month, make sure and thank these amazing people who do so much for OCPS!
Dad's On Duty
Thank you to all of you who have helped with our Dads on Lunch Duty and Dads on Car Duty! We are so excited about the support and volunteers we have received for this new volunteer opportunity. We could not have done it without you and ALL of the staff have truly enjoyed the extra help in the morning and at lunch. We can't wait to see this program grow next year!
