************************************************************************************************
I wanted to remind you that MANY states are looking for official court reporters. There's usually too many for me to list in the Job Drawer. I've seen listings for Idaho, Montana, South Carolina, Minnesota, Illinois, Colorado, California, Texas, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Missouri, Arizona, and Pennsylvania to name just a few. Please don't forget to peruse the openings for the state you're interested in working. Many are desperate!!
Please take a look at this week's opportunities below but also remember to go to www.ccr.edu. Click on Resources>Alumni/Employers and take a look at some of our Employer Colleagues! Each of these employers are interested in hiring. So, give them a call! Lastly, I do repost jobs from week to week for employers that still have openings. So please take a second look at some of these awesome opportunities!
NOTE: Voice Captioners/Writers - If an employer specifically states they hire voice captioners/writers, I note that in the listing. However, even if an employer doesn't state they hire voice captioners/writers, you can always inquire with the employer if you're interested in the position.
Questions? Please let me know. Remember, I'm here to help in any way I can whether it's providing resume/cover letter edits, interviewing tips, or job search guidance. Always feel free to give me a call or send an email.
Slainte Mhath!

5. Official Court Reporter, Lancaster County District Court, Lincoln, NE
Please see email below:
My name is Jinnohn Grose. I am currently an Official Court Reporter in Lincoln, Nebraska. I am hoping to retire in June of 2020 as at that point I will have reached my 45 year anniversary.
The judge that I am presently working for is wonderful in every respect and the bailiff as well is beyond compare. I am hoping to be able to help her find a qualified replacement within the next couple of months.
As a young reporter right out of reporting school years ago, I interned with one of the Officials here in Lincoln. Eventually I was hired by that same Judge a few months later after the reporter retired. It was amazing how much I learned from that reporter and she was then a resource when I had questions and was always there for advice.
We all know there are tremendous differences in many of the judges. Judge Ideus and our bailiff would be an excellent opportunity for a new reporter, giving them the understanding and consideration for that learning curve that needs to take place In those first few months.
Below is a short summary for the job position. Thank you so very much for sharing the information with your students. We look forward to hearing from some of them.
