Tyngsborough Elementary School
March 20, 2020 Update
The purpose of this email is to check in on YOU. In just a matter of days, so much has been added to your plate. We are all working to find our "new normal." It is important that you know, you are not in this alone. If you need anything during this time, I'm an email away. Our tremendous staff are also ready and willing to help! Please know that during these times, there is no expectation of perfect. Enjoy family time, have fun, and stay positive.
Our staff has been working incredibly hard over the last few days to ensure families have resources and activities to help create some normalcy for our students. This week, you will receive emails, social media updates, and/or requests to touch base virtually through Google hangouts, Zoom, etc. Staying connected to our students and families is our number one priority at this time! We will get through this together!
I know how much our students love our spirit weeks so I couldn't think of a better way to kick off next week - see the attachment that outlines our virtual spirit week! Please be sure to post photos https://www.facebook.com/TyngsboroughElementarySchool/ so we can see your smiling faces! I know I speak for every staff member in saying we miss seeing all 812 TES students!
Again, if you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Home Learning Resources
Here is a link to our new Home Learning Resources website which will be posted on the District home page tomorrow. As you will see, this page contains a brief overview and three “buttons,” one for each school, that will take you to a school specific Google Doc entitled Home Learning Resources - School Initials. Each doc is intended to provide families with a structure to support their students from home. These docs will serve as a menu of resources compiled for our students that can be utilized for enrichment purposes in addition to those communicated by individual teachers.
Message from our School Counselors
Please know that we will continue to be available to support your children during our time away from school. If you have a specific question or concern regarding your child, or if you just want to reach out to say hello and let us know how your family is doing, please do not hesitate to reach out via email.
In addition, we strongly encourage you to follow and/or "like" our School Counselor Facebook Page, as we will be providing daily updates with information for you and your students including: articles, videos, mindfulness activities, STRIPES challenges, social emotional learning opportunities as well as offering ways for your child to stay connected with us!
