Washington Holiday Magic Gift Program Donations 🧸
Each year Washington friends and families come together to help make the holidays brighter for our families who are experiencing hardships around the holidays. We are still in need of donations (mostly clothing items) for our Holiday Magic program. Please click the green button above or below to support this annual program. 🎁
This is a friendly reminder that if you sponsored a child for the Holiday Magic program, we are asking that all donations are turned in next week (by 12/6 if possible!). They can be dropped off at carpool in the morning OR in the main office during school hours. If you have any questions, please contact the main office at 919-856-7960.

SHINING STAR UPDATE⭐
We have raised $15,919.52!
Last week was an exciting week for our Shining Star Fundraiser! We reached our mini-goal of $14,000 so Mrs. Burnette and Mrs. Ratley got pied in the face by two WES kids, which the kids loved! We also held our first '$5 Friday'. That event was a huge success and raised over $1,500!!! The Kindergarten class earned an ice cream party after they had the highest percentage of participation. We had a total of 243 students who donated! Way to go, Wizards!!
Your Shining Star dollars also helps WES teachers in the way of Start Up funds and resources. Read quotes from teachers this year...
- "Start Up Funds have helped provide many valuable classroom items such as furniture, organizational, books, etc. The K team would use future funds to help build our fine motor & handwriting practice & writing center supplies. The new TVs from our Shining Star Fundraiser are incredibly helpful to have." ~Kindergarten Teachers
- "The PTA supports our magnet program by purchasing consumable materials for electives, like Kitchen Chemistry and Science Olympiad. They provide yearly support of registration fees for several competition teams." ~Amy Wilkinson, Magnet Coordinator
- "Start up funds have helped purchase materials for our science unit: animal studies, organizational materials for our rooms, and classroom supplies." ~Fourth Grade Teachers
This is the last week for the fundraiser! The final deadline is this Friday, December 8th. We have raised almost $16,000 so far....only $4,000 to go! Any amount helps and the time to donate is now!
Please consider a donation to help us reach our goal of $20,000 so we can continue to aid teachers with supplies, hold events like Arts & Letters Night and Cultural Night.
- DONATING IS EASY! Students can bring their donation to school in an envelope or baggie with their name on it and grown ups can contribute online or send cash/check (made out to Washington GT PTA) to school.
- ANY AMOUNT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. Don’t forget to check if your company will match. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at email@example.com. 100% of your donation goes directly back into school programs and needs.
