Introduction of Sweden

Sweden joined the European Union in 1995 and was not a founder of the EU. My country was not part of any other country or empire.

Flag history

Sweden's flag was founded on June 22nd, 1906. The colors were derived from the national arms and the design was from the Danish flag. It is considered one of the oldest flags in the world and represents the link to the Scandinavian countries.

Geography and Physical Features

Sweden has many different neighboring countries like Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Russia, and Lithuania. It's physical features are snow covered mountains and thick forests.

Capital city, major cities, and tourism

The capital of Sweden is Stockholm which is a very beautiful place. Other major cities are Gothenburg, Malmo, Uppsala, and Vasteras. Places to visit in Sweden are the capital city, Stockholm, the Stockholm archipelago, and Gothenburg because they are beautiful places and there are many things to do.

Government type and type of currency

Sweden's government is called a parliamentary democracy which is when the party with the greatest representation of parliamentary gets to form the government. The type of currency is called Sweden krona and is worth .12 American dollars.
