Mrs. Cooper's AP Language & Composition
Mr. Leonard's American Govermment & Economics Class
In Mr. Leonard's American Government and Economics class, students are beginning to research the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution. Students were first instructed to define certain terms that would provide greeted clarification for the meaning of the amendment. Students were then asked to think of scenarios that they believe could be a violation of this amendment. After their thorough research, students were divided into two groups where they would assume the role of Supreme Court Justices and discuss the constitutionality of search and seizure cases.

Anime Club News!
This week’s featured ConVal Co-Curricular/Club is Anime Club.
Anime Club is a positive place that promotes students to share their love and knowledge of anime, as well as appreciate Japanese culture. Members participate in viewing, drawing, discussing and learning about anime-related topics. No previous knowledge about anime is required to join, everyone is welcome! The attendance policy is: “come when you can.”
According to advisor Rachel Berten, “The club is probably going to meet Thursdays after school, twice a month, but that could change depending on member availability. We plan to talk about anime, watch anime, and possibly read manga. We have toyed with the idea of doing pen pals, trying different Japanese foods, and learning to draw anime.”
“One day,” Berten concluded, “I would love to go to an animecon with the students, but that’s a long way off.”
If you would like to join or get more information, please contact club advisor Rachel Berten at rberten@conval.edu.
