Hanna Woods's Mission and Vision
Our Mission:
To ensure all students are capable, curious, caring, and confident learners who understand and respond to the challenges of an ever-changing world.
Our Vision:
We succeed when all members are leaders who demonstrate core values, problem-solve, and work to achieve our goals.
Schewe Speech
We had a wild ride with the weather this week. I hope you and your family had an opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful weather earlier this week and stayed safe during the strong winds and storms yesterday.
A huge thank you to all the parents and guardians who made it to our very first collaboration Tiger Training on Tuesday! If you were unable to attend, ask your child about the commitments they made. The next Tiger Training Family Lesson will be Tuesday, May 30th.

Field Day Volunteers
You can volunteer for the AM Session (grades 3-5) or PM Session (grades K-2) or BOTH! All materials and directions will be provided!
Volunteers MUST register in advance using the link.
We cannot have observers or younger siblings attend.
In the case of rain, we have a rainout date of Wednesday May 31st.
Please contact Mrs. Jones or Mr. Tanurchis with any questions. Thank you so much for supporting this fun event!
Hanna Woods Book Fair This Week!
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. AND—as always—every book they buy earns rewards for our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place in the Hanna Woods Commons with the following schedule:
MON 4/17 8AM-8PM (Raffle drawing for those who shop between 3:30-8)
TUES 4/18 8PM-3PM
WED 4/19 8AM-3PM
THURS 4/20 8AM-8PM (Raffle drawing for those who shop between 3:30-8)
FRI 4/21 8AM-12PM
As always, we offer eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:
