Northwood Elementary Connection
February Edition 2024
Hello Northwood Elementary families-
Our school will be busy with a lot of exciting learning activities and events this month. Third graders are participating in the NCAA Reading Competition. Northwood’s third graders have made it to the Top 68 Schools. See below:
Due to your hard work and outstanding reading efforts, you are one of the top 68 schools moving on to compete in the Read to the Final Four literacy challenge leading up to the NCAA’s Women’s Final Four in April.
Over this 9-week competition, students and teachers have various opportunities to win amazing prizes and experiences just from reading! Continue diving into books and fueling the mind with imagination – but don’t forget to log those minutes!
Northwood Elementary will also be participating in the Kindland Games. See the information in the latter half of the newsletter for more information.
100th and 101st Day activities will be held in kindergarten and first grade classrooms the week of February 12th.
Parent-teacher conferences will be held February 7th from 3:30-7:00. Contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
Make sure you are following us on our Facebook page @Elyria NorthwoodElementary to stay informed of all things happening at Northwood Elementary.
