Here are some important reminders:
Your WorldStrides Team
LMS/LIS Pass it On Food Drive
It is time again for our 19th Annual Pass-it-On Food Drive! LMS and LIS will be working together with the LIFE Food Pantry to supply non-perishable food items for Thanksgiving boxes and Holiday bags for 350 families in the Loveland School District, and restock their shelves for after the holidays. This year, students will walk up their donations on Friday, Nov. 22nd, at the beginning of the day.
Each HOMEROOM at LIS and each TIGER TIME class at LMS (including study hall) has been assigned a food item and goal number to collect, based on the size of the class and the approximate price of the item. On average, we need 2-3 items per student in order to meet these goals. Store brands are perfectly fine! However, it’s important that we collect the specific items requested so that the families will have all the holiday items and the Pantry can serve the needs of their clients. (LMS list by teacher is in an attached file below that you can download).
If your family is able, please send more than one item in order to reach these totals. Some students are unable to participate & may be recipients of these baskets themselves, and we count on support from every classroom.
Please be sure to check expiration dates, as the pantry cannot accept expired items. Also, please be sure your child is dressed appropriately on Fri., Nov. 22nd, as the students will be walking up to the pantry early that morning.
