The breakfast will take place from 8am at the school. For further information, please refer to the pink note in your child's note pocket. Banksmeadow P & C thank you for your support.
- Just a friendly reminder that it's a good idea to place an ice pack in your child's lunch box. The weather will be warming up soon and lunches are not refrigerated. Afternoon tea is placed in the fridge, so no need for one in there.

Thinkers
One of the activities we provide encourages the children to think and choose the matching card to the picture. Each card runs on a theme such as: animal homes, weather, seeds, animal food and tails. The idea is to match the card to the picture and then check to see if they got it right. If the patterns don't match then they know they have made a mistake and can correct it. Mostly, the children were very clever and got it right!
- Children are open to new challenges and activities

Australian Animals
The Australian animals have been a real hit with the children. The activity has assisted the them to recall the animal names and talk about them with each other. If they are unsure of what the animal is called, they ask their friends, who are always willing to tell them.
Jayden said, "It's not a koala bear." We had talked about this. Koalas are not members of the bear family.
Emanuel said, "A kangaroo has a pouch."
Joshua said, "Echidna has spikes."
"What's this one?" asked Liv. "That's a Tasmanian devil," replied Mrs Royston.

Fun With Playdough
Adam, Cooper and Joshua thoroughly enjoyed working at the playdough table.
"I'm making biscuits for mummy, daddy and Sienna," said Adam.
Joshua was referring to the Cook Book and decided to cook up a storm. "I'm making meatballs, pasta and doughnut," said Joshua.
Cooper made some biscuits too. "I need to put them in the oven. I need a timer," he said. Mrs Dickson set her phone so the timer would go off and tell Cooper that his biscuits were ready.
The boys were very content working at the activity and continued to stick with it for quite a while.
