Just think of us as the bookish equivalents to Cupid...

We'll play matchmaker and pair you up with a good book!

Happy February everyone; let's spread some love and kindness all around this month.

Thank you, Beth!

We want to take a quick moment to thank Beth Easterday for all of her hard work this past year at the library. Beth has moved on to a full-time position elsewhere, but her great ideas, dedication, and sense of humor will be missed here, especially by the younger patrons who got to enjoy storytime with her.

When you see her around town, give her a wave!

2018 In Review

We found these statistics from last year pretty fascinating and we thought you might too!

We also feel its pretty safe to say that Game of Thrones has taken the Iron Throne by a wide margin.

Last month at the Upper Skagit Library we...

... began playing Winter Reading Fitness Bingo!

We partnered with 5b's Bakery this year for Winter Reading Fitness Bingo, which began on Jan. 15th and goes to Feb. 28th. Bingo cards are available at the library for anyone who wishes to participate. Complete a row of challenges on the card to win an entry towards the grand prize. Blackout the card to earn three entries towards the prize.

One grand prize winner will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.

Before turning in your bingo card to a librarian on the 28th, stop by 5b's Bakery with your card to get an UGLI Bar*!

... participated in the Skagit Eagle Festival!

We were a part of the Eagle Fest activities this year with Drop-in Arts & Crafts! Every Saturday last month, families with young children were invited to join us here at the library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to learn about eagles and other wildlife through stories, songs, and a simple craft. This year we made paper eagles that could balance on the tip of your finger!
