Chatfield FFA is a 3 Star Chapter for the 5th year in a row!

For the 5th year in a row, Chatfield FFA has received the highest honor that The National FFA Organization can give a chapter, a 3 Star Ranking! FFA Chapters that move on from state to nationals are ranked based on quality standards and are given a 1, 2 or 3 star ranking. It is humbling to be ranked on the top tier amongst all top FFA Chapters in the nation. We couldn't reach this level of excellence without the outstanding support of our community, so from the bottom of our hearts we say thank you for supporting our program!

Summer Recap

We were busy this summer with various programs such as Little Farmhands, Ag Day Camp, FFA Show at the State Fair, FFA garden, helping with the Pork-e-que, Officer training, farm touring with the intern and SAE visits. Check the pictures below for a snap shot of the fun we had and remember that you are always welcome to join us in any of our upcoming events. You can also follow us on social media to see what we are doing.

Chatfield FFA at the MN State Fair

Fourteen of our students were involved in showing animals at the MN State Fair over Labor Day weekend. Twelve participants showed goats, two showed dairy steers, and two had Ag Technology projects. Everyone did the General Livestock judging contest where teams placed 4th, 7th and 8th.

Our Chatfield Chapter received plaques for the following:

Champion Chapter Group - Goats (this is where we bring out our 7 best goats and are judged against other chapter groups)

Champion Premiere Chapter for Market Goats (this is based on points that we receive for the # and quality of goats we brought as a chapter)

The Chatfield Chapter also received the following awards

3rd Place Overall Market Chapter

3rd Place Overall Breeding and Market Chapter

3rd Place Goat Herdsmanship

Special thanks to Scott Winslow and Noah Fenske for trailering our animals and Kari Goldsmith, Payton Guenther and Rodney Coe for helping chaperone and take care of things while I was not on grounds - Fritz

Chatfield FFA Fall Blood Drive is around the corner!

Home made chili and apple pie will be served and it is looking good that we will fill up the slots. Special thanks to Maddi Clemens, Sydney Allen and Zayda Priebe for heading the drive up and to Kari Goldsmith for volunteering her time that day.
