Feedback on Semester 2 Performance Tasks:
On the CPD Canvas Course under the “Tested” column, you can now find DRAFT copies of Semester 2 Performance Tasks for all H/SS subjects. We would like to invite each PLC to provide feedback before we finalize them for distribution to students.
Here are some notes:
- One email per PLC with feedback on WC7, USH8, or the WG9 PT should be sent to Olga Loya Estrada by Feb. 9th.
- One email per PLC with feedback on WH10, USH11, Econ, or Govt PTs should be sent to Kelly Leon by Feb 9th.
- Please understand that while we review ALL feedback, we often receive contradictory suggestions, meaning we have to find consensus and/or move forward with what the majority of PLCs suggest. We value everyone’s feedback, but requesting changes doesn't automatically mean we make a modification to the task. Thank you for understanding this!
- We are seeking feedback on relatively minor corrections. For example, you might suggest a different document or a revision to the wording of the prompt, but we cannot make major changes (like the topic at hand) for this semester.
- You may see similar PTs from last year. Expect new PTs next school year. If you have suggestions for prompts or topics for next school year (Sem 1 or 2), please email us!
- Providing feedback is completely optional.
- Notice that each of the PTs has a Listening/Speaking step prior to writing. We encourage teachers to build this time into the administration of the task.
- PTs will be finalized by mid-February. Your PLC is welcome to give the PT at any time during the semester once they are posted as “final drafts.” We encourage you to do so sooner, rather than later so that results may serve as formative feedback for you and your students.
