Religion in India
In India there are many diffrent religions but the one that you will mostly see around New Delhi is Hinduism. Hinduism is polytheistic which means they believe in many gods. The gods of Hinduism that most people worship are Shiba, Brahma, Vishnu, and Ganesha. Hindus worship in a holy place called a mandir.
Religious ceremonies
Hindus have animal sacrifice which is a common everyday ceremony. Also everyday you are supposed to go to the temple and attend the reading of the Vedas.
Sites to see
I would suggest to go see a temple, the most holy place is Varanasi which is one of the oldest cites in the world.
Holy Days Of Hinduism
Baisakhi- the first day of the new year, Ganesh chaturthi- honoring the God of prosperity prudence and succes, Janam Ashtami- celebration of the birth of Krishna.
What To Eat And What Not To Eat
In India the sacred animal is a cow so I would suggest not eating beef. Most Hindus try to eat a healthy meal so American food that u would suggest eating are nuts, fruit, salad and rice.

If you are going to go to India you may want to know how they dress so that you fit in right? Well for females you should wear a sari which is a piece of brightly colored material that is wound up and pleated around the waist to cover the legs with a underskirt beneath it with a short blouse worn on top and the end of the material draped over the shoulder on top of everything. For men they generally wear western clothing which is normal trousers with a long button up tunic over the top or you could wear a tunic and loose pants.
