Timely Tidbits
November 4th, 2021
From the desk of the principal
Happy Fall!
I love this time of year when the colors are so vibrant and the smell of pumpkin spice is in the air. I also love this time of year at school as the students are settling into the systems of “doing” school and are fully engaging in learning. I hope you found your conference time with your student’s teacher was insightful and gave you the opportunity to build that school-home partnership which provides success for all students. The Templeton staff works hard to create a learning environment that sees, values, and serves each individual in order to build a community of inclusion and acceptance. Templeton is truly an amazing school!

Safety first!
In order to keep our students and others safe during AM drop-off and PM pick-up, here are a few reminders:
Please...
•...pull all the way forward to the cones.
•... remain in your car at all times. IF you need to get out of your car to assist your child, please find a parking spot.
•...have your student on the passenger side of the car for a quick drop-off.
•...unboard or board your student/s after you have passed through the crosswalk section or if a staff member is at your car assisting the student/s.
•...stay in the car line. Cars who pass in the outside lane risk hitting another car or a human being.
“Safety is a choice we make.”
Mrs. McLaughlin, School Counselor/Psychologist
Dear Templeton Families,
I can’t believe it’s already November! Our students are doing so well. We are so impressed with their PAX behavior across our building. However, we do have some reminders for everyone.
Masks should fit securely over mouths and noses. If you need more masks, please reach out. We have numerous cloth and disposable masks we can provide.
Fidgets should stay home every day, unless your student has a special plan or the teacher has allowed the use of fidgets on a special school day. Fidgets are great tools for some students, but often become toys and can get lost or damaged at school.
Lastly, we are working on being Safe, Kind, and Responsible in the Cafeteria, Playground, and Bus settings. Please remind your student(s) to respect adults across ALL settings and make their best PAX choices by following directions the first time.
