What happens first?
When you contact MOSAIC about a potential tutoring relationship, please notify us of the subject/educational level that you desire help with. After we process your information, we will select a tutor that matches your individual needs.
When will I meet my tutor?
Once you are placed with an instructor, they will contact you within 24 hours to set up an initial meeting where you will discuss your desires and concerns, as well as scheduling a more permanent time and place for future meetings.
Can an instructor meet me at my house?
After the initial interview, instructors are available to meet you at any location that is convenient to you. Please know, however, that hourly rates do take into account the amount of distance traveled.
Am I expected to supply all of the materials?
While it is encouraged that students share any course material available with their instructor, our tutors are prepared with resources to augment learning that takes place in the classroom.
What should I expect my hourly rate to be?
Our rates are competitive with other tutorials in the Shelby County area, however we strive to be considerate of payment concerns. For this reason, factors such as location, the number of students, amount of hours desired, etc. are taken into consideration when discussing payment arrangements.
When are instructors available?
Our instructors are matched with new students based on a combination of schedule compatibility as well as subject matter. We strive to be flexible to your needs.
Ok, I'm in! What do I do now?
Please see the link listed below to let us know you're interested! Based on the information given, we will place you with a tutor that we think you are best-matched for. At that point, you will be contacted within 24 hours by your tutor to discuss a good time for an initial meeting.
